Question: How does the Pentair Pool app help pool professionals get through pool closing season?

Saari: In the Pentair Pool app, the Manage User function is something really important to all parts of pool season, from opening to maintenance to closing. But it’s a particularly valuable tool for pool closing, as it helps pros get an idea of what the status of that pool is prior to shutting it down for the season.

Remote monitoring is particularly valuable in those states that can freeze. Throughout the colder season, pros can check if a pool is properly entering freeze mode and protecting the equipment. That peace of mind their customers get through remote monitoring extends beyond pool closing season. And then, of course, when pool opening season arrives, that remote monitoring dashboard provides the same valuable view for pros to see what the pool needs before they go in the backyard.

If a pool professional is installing automation and not using the IntelliCenter Pool Control System remote monitoring dashboard, they’re missing out on the ability to see all the systems on a pool equipment pad in one dashboard view. In that dashboard view, clicking into the Manage User function gives pros the status of their customers’ pools prior to going out. It helps them know what they might need to address during closing, whether it’s chemistry imbalance, equipment challenges, or special tools they need in the truck.

Question: If pool pros have not yet adopted the Pool app, what’s the biggest advantage of getting started with it?

Saari: The Pentair Pool app is convenient for your customers to engage with their pool. It empowers them to control their experience, to keep an eye on their pool’s automation system and other connected devices. It lets them manage their pool control system independent of the pro, which means it can potentially cut back on unnecessary service calls. If the customer calls with an issue, it’s possible that a lot of those issues can be resolved or troubleshooted in advance. But when the pro is needed, that Manage User function in the Pentair Pool app is a huge advantage to check in and engage with that system before you’re even on site. But even if they can’t be addressed from afar, pros are aware before they even drive out what they might need on the truck to resolve any issues.

Both the customer being connected and the dealer being connected means there’s full control of that system on either end, giving all parties the best possible experience. It’s convenient for the customer and for the pro. With remote monitoring, your job as a pool professional becomes so much easier.
