The Independent Pool and Spa Service Association announced expanded education fund benefits for 2025 to help advance the training and education of pool professionals.
“As the cost of educational classes continues to rise, IPSSA continues to support all self-employed pool and spa service professionals seeking to advance their professional training and education,” says Rose Smoot, executive director of IPSSA.
The program allows applicants to be reimbursed up to $500 per calendar year. The IPSSA BORD and Education Committee provides funds to lower the costs of courses such as Certified Pool Operator courses, Aquatics Facility Operator courses, contractor license courses, manufacturer-sponsored courses, courses provided at industry trade shows and business and trade school courses.
“The process of getting reimbursed for class expenses is super simple and easy,” says Hunter Smith, an IPSSA member who has used the education fund. “The classes allow me to take everything I learn and immediately integrate it into my business so I can offer more services to my clients and increase my profits. It’s a wonderful benefit offered by IPSSA.”
