Pinch A Penny, the nation’s largest swimming pool retail, service and repair franchise, opened its newest store in May in Hobe Sound, Florida.
The Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa is owned by Chad Wright, who was born and currently resides in nearby Stuart. The business has been offering pool service for the past three months, and the storefront location will now be open to customers to shop for all their pool care and maintenance needs.
Before becoming a franchise owner with Pinch A Penny, Wright served as a medical device representative for 20 years. Although his former role is in a different industry, he sees many similarities between the two positions. After selling devices and equipment in medical sales, Wright is taking on a similar role with the sale of pool services and supplies with Pinch A Penny.
“After working for years in the corporate world, I wanted to own a local business and be an active part of the community,” Wright says. “I wanted to operate a service-based business and when I looked at Pinch A Penny, I fell in love with the services they had to offer. They had an opening in my backyard, so the timing and opportunity were perfect.”
In addition to pool supply retail, Pinch A Penny offers ongoing pool service and maintenance, free water testing, equipment repair services, landscape lighting and more.
