Registration Opens for 2026 WITI Walk/Run 5K

Women in the Industry, an initiative of the Northeast Spa & Pool Association, is accepting registrations for the third annual WITI Walk/Run 5K, taking place on Oct. 11 at Norristown Farm Park in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will benefit Every Child a Swimmer, a national nonprofit that provides swim lesson scholarships to children from low-income families and promotes water safety education and drowning prevention.

Participants can walk or run in person or participate virtually from anywhere in the country. Registration fees, sponsorships and donations will support the organization’s swim lesson scholarship efforts.

“Our mission is simple,” says Casey McGovern, executive director of Every Child a Swimmer. “Every child deserves the opportunity to learn this life-saving skill, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. Through partnerships like WITI, we’re expanding access to swim lessons, measuring outcomes, and helping ensure more children gain the skills they need to stay safe around water.”

Every Child a Swimmer has grown to include more than 430 participating swim school locations across 46 states and provides nearly $1 million annually in swim lesson scholarships.

The WITI Walk is open to participants of all ages and abilities. Virtual participants can complete their walk or run in their own communities while supporting the fundraiser online.
