Celebrating Five Years of Fluidra International Pool Pro Day
Pool professionals show up before sunrise, work through the heat, and keep pools running safely for millions of families — yet they rarely get a day that’s just for them. That’s why Fluidra created Fluidra International Pool Pro Day (FIPPD): a dedicated day to recognize the builders, service pros, and retailers who keep the pool and spa industry moving forward.
What is FIPPD?
Fluidra International Pool Pro Day was established to shine a spotlight on the hard work, technical skill, and dedication of pool professionals around the world. It’s a chance for the industry — and the millions of pool owners who depend on these pros — to say thank you to the people who do the physically demanding, detail-oriented work of installation, maintenance, and repair that most pool owners never see.
When did it start?
Fluidra launched International Pool Pro Day in 2021. This year marks its 5th anniversary — five years of building momentum behind an industry-wide day of recognition.
Five Years of Celebration
Over the past five years, FIPPD has grown from a single-day recognition effort into a season of celebration across the industry. Fluidra has partnered with PoolPro Magazine and other leading industry organizations — including the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), the Master Pools Guild (MPG), and the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association (IPSSA) — to amplify the day and make sure pool pros everywhere are recognized.
Each year has brought new ways to celebrate:
- Social media contests spotlighting pool pros’ work across the Fluidra family — from Jandy residential and commercial equipment installations to S.R.Smith deck equipment, to retail displays featuring Polaris and Taylor Water Technologies
- Video compilations from Fluidra employees around the globe, thanking them for their contributions to the industry
- Ongoing collaboration with industry partners to extend the reach of the celebration across the pool and spa community
Why It Matters
“Pool professionals are the backbone of our industry,” said Jon Viner, President of Fluidra North America. “They show up every day to do work that’s physically demanding and often thankless, but absolutely essential to the safety and enjoyment pool owners count on. Fluidra International Pool Pro Day is our way of making sure that work doesn’t go unnoticed — this year especially, as we mark five years of this celebration.”
