But what is this product really about, and what does it offer you as a pool pro? To answer your questions, we sat down with Summer Land, Strategic Marketing Manager of Heaters and Lights at Pentair Pool.
Question: What would you say is the one thing pool pros really need to know about the new IntelliVibe light from Pentair Pool?
Land: I think the flexibility. Because of the ability to choose any color, the dimmability, the control over different colors in different zones, and the Nano offering (which does not need to be water-cooled) that expands control to the landscape beyond the pool. With IntelliVibe lights, pool owners can create the experience they want.
Maybe it’s a Sunday evening, they’re watching football, and they want to light up their pool with their favorite sports team’s colors. They can do that! Maybe they’re having a gender reveal party and want to color their pool light blue or pink. Maybe they want to make it red and pink for Valentine’s Day. They can do that. Really, the biggest perk is the flexibility and the opportunity that IntelliVibe lights offers pool owners.
Question: Why should every pool pro have lighting in their arsenal as an offering to customers?
Land: Lighting, from a very basic standpoint, is a safety feature. Right? It would let you know if your dog fell into the pool, and it illuminates dark areas. But more than that, lighting is intertwined with the reason people get a pool. It’s about life! Lights can create that lively experience. They enable that experience.
Just like all technology, pool lighting has changed. Smartphones have changed over time, and using an outdated phone from years ago can be a huge frustration. You usually opt for the latest technology in your personal life; the same is true with pools. IntelliVibe lights allow builders to offer their customers the latest pool lighting control capabilities. Consumers, when they talk to their builder after a pool is built, don’t talk about the pump. They don’t talk about the filter. What they talk about with their builder is the lights. That is the thing that they’ll comment on: the ambiance. The vibe.
