The Pentair Foundation is spotlighting early results from its 2025 Water Grants program, which awarded $1.25 million to eight organizations focused on water access, safety and community well-being. The grants, announced earlier this year, support programs operating between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025.

Organizations funded under its “Enjoy Water” category have provided over 6,800 hours of free or reduced-cost water-safety instruction so far, according to Pentair, and more than 1,100 people received free or discounted swim lessons through these efforts.

Two of the Foundation’s grantees — the USA Swimming Foundation and V3 Sports — were highlighted for their contributions to expanding water-safety education and aquatic access.

The USA Swimming Foundation, established in 2004 as the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming, uses Pentair’s support to grow learn-to-swim programs, Community Impact grants and college/university partnerships. Institutions such as Elizabeth City State University and Texas Southern University use grant funding to revitalize aquatics programming and provide water-safety education to students who may not have had access earlier in life.

In Minneapolis, V3 Sports reported offering 10,000 hours of swim instruction during its first year of operation at the V3 Center, which provides fitness and wellness programming, a hydrotherapy pool, a 25-yard pool and family water-safety workshops. The center sees over 25,000 family visits annually for programs, events and training.
