PHTA Names Recipients of 2026 Greg Garrett Scholarship
The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has named Arthur Grace of Clearwater Pool and Spa Inc. in Livonia, Michigan, and Martin Cole of Lone Star Oasis Pools LLC in Boyd, Texas, as the recipients of the 2026 Greg Garrett Scholarship.
The annual $5,000 scholarship, established in memory of longtime industry leader Greg Garrett, supports continuing education and professional development for PHTA members in the builder and service sectors. Through a matching sponsorship from Periodic Products Inc., two scholarships were awarded this year.

Grace, vice president of Clearwater Pool and Spa, has worked in the pool and hot tub industry for 25 years. He plans to use the scholarship to continue his GENESIS education by completing advanced construction courses as he works toward earning GENESIS Master Professional status.
Cole, owner of Lone Star Oasis Pools, entered the industry in 2020 and has earned his Certified Builder Professional designation. A retired Marine and disabled veteran, he plans to use the scholarship to pursue additional PHTA certifications as he works toward becoming a Certified Master Pool Builder and Design Professional.
The scholarship is administered by PHTA’s Research and Grants Committee and may be used toward PHTA education and certification fees. For more information, visit phta.org/garrett-award.
