Poolwerx, the global pool supply and service company with U.S. headquarters in Dallas, is now servicing pools in eight states with the addition of franchise partner Josh Jenkins, who now owns and operates a mobile-only Poolwerx territory in Rome, Georgia.
Jenkins, a pharmacist, is currently a market health and wellness director at Walmart. In addition to managing operations for Walmart pharmacies and vision centers, he owns two additional businesses. Jenkins is the owner and operator of a Jimmy John’s franchise restaurant and a property management company. Despite not having a pool industry background, as an entrepreneur and pool owner, Jenkins recognized the lack of reputable pool service companies in his community and began researching opportunities.
“I came across Poolwerx through a simple Google search,” Jenkins says. “I had met with several pool companies, but I knew I had found my new business partners when I met the Poolwerx team. I was impressed with their approach to franchising, their emphasis on technical and business training, and their overall vision and commitment to core values. They were by far the most polished group in the pool industry.”
All incoming, new-to-industry Poolwerx franchise partners are brought up to speed with a comprehensive residential pool school “boot camp” at the U.S. training facilities in Dallas. “Pool school was eye-opening,” says Daniel Payne, Jenkins’ business partner who manages Poolwerx Rome’s daily operations and also attended the training. “I thought I knew what pool care was, but the Poolwerx staff went above and beyond. I learned more than I anticipated and was eager to get back to Rome and get our business going.”
