The Woodland, California-based, company was started in 2003 by Bob Neundorfer and celebrates 20 years of service this year.
In 2017, Erik Larum, Neundorfer’s son-in-law, joined the team. The pair put a growth-focused plan in place, quickly moving from one truck with 110 pools to nine trucks with 420 pools. After Neundorfer retired in 2021, Larum and his wife purchased Prism.
“I saw [Neundorfer] raise his family of five with the business and knew that there was an opportunity if I put my management efforts into his sweat equity,” Larum says.
Larum credits his success to his service-oriented team and says his favorite thing about the industry is discovering how valuable the trade is.
“My team is CPO-certified, we have onsite training with manufacturers and suppliers and I try to inspire them to learn the trade,” he says. “I am a bit philosophical, but I believe that if our team can earn trust through service while earning a good living wage and feeling valued in their career, then we can improve our neighborhoods one pool service at a time.”
