Shasta Pools Acquired by New Ownership Group
Dansons Capital Group, Accrual Equity Partners and Hydro Construction have acquired Shasta Pools, an Arizona pool builder founded in 1966, with plans to expand the company’s pool operations and launch a broader home services platform.
The acquisition was finalized Aug. 6. Shasta Pools, founded by brothers Bob and Skip Ast, has built or renovated more than 150,000 pools across Maricopa County during its 60-year history.
The new ownership group plans to invest in Shasta’s residential and commercial pool construction and renovation divisions, luxury pool designs, hardscaping, warranties, e-commerce and recurring pool maintenance operations.

The company also plans to launch Shasta Home Services, which will expand the brand beyond pools into additional residential services. The ownership group intends to grow the platform organically and through partnerships, with a long-term goal of expanding Shasta nationally.
Work is also underway on a new headquarters and design center in Scottsdale, Arizona. The facility will centralize operations and include a contact center intended to provide customers with a single point of contact across Shasta’s pool and home service offerings.
Dan Thiessen, CEO of Dansons Capital Group, will serve as chairman and lead the ownership team as it develops the home services platform and recruits additional industry leadership.
