Industry Professional Launches Swim Fundraiser for Every Child A Swimmer
Natalie Hood, director of education and events for pool industry rep firm The Grit Game, is launching a fundraising campaign for Every Child A Swimmer by competing in three open-water endurance races this fall.

Through the She Swims So They Can campaign, Hood will complete the Tennessee Triple Crown of open-water swimming, covering over 21 miles in three weeks. Her schedule includes the 6.2-mile Bridges to Bluffs race in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Sept. 13; the 5-mile Hobbs Island race in Huntsville, Alabama, on Sept. 20; and the 10-mile Swim the Suck event in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Oct. 3.
“Swimming has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it has given me so much,” Hood says. “I wanted these swims to mean something beyond crossing a finish line. If the miles I swim can help give more children access to swim lessons and the skills that could one day save their lives, then every mile is worth it.”
Hood has worked in the pool and aquatics industry for over 20 years and is raising funds to support Every Child A Swimmer’s mission of expanding access to swim education. One hundred percent of donations and profits from limited-edition fundraising apparel will benefit the nonprofit, according to the fundraiser.
The campaign is supported by RevdUp Apparel, Talking Pools Podcast, H2Flow Controls, Tenjam, OnlyPools, Aqua Water Comfort Group and The Grit Game.
More information about the campaign and donation opportunities is on the She Swims So They Can campaign page.
