Thursday Pools Releases Consumer Videos to Aid in Sales

Thursday Pools, manufacturer of fiberglass pools, announced the release of a new marketing tool for its dealers: Thursday Pools Wet Tour. This series of videos allows consumers to see people sitting, standing, swimming and playing in the pool viewed from underwater. Pool builders and retailers told Thursday Pools that one of the hurdles to closing the pool sale was making consumers comfortable with how it will feel to be inside the pool — specifically the water levels on people of various heights within different sections of the pool. The Wet Tour features a typical family ranging in height from just under 4 feet to just over 6 feet tall.

“This video is pretty revolutionary,” says Todd Emmerson, owner of Signature Pools in Chicago. “We use a lot of photos in our sales presentations but this video is an added tool that actually helped us close a pool sale in August.” Thursday Pools says several retailers are now looping the video in their store to help draw attention to its fiberglass pools.
