Blayr Lignoski has spent more than a decade building his career in nearly every corner of the pool industry. He started in retail with A&M Corson’s Aquavalue, worked in repairs with the same company, then served as warehouse manager at Tropical Water Pools before moving into service management with National Pool Partners/Aquaman Pools. That progression has given him hands-on experience across the business and a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to deliver consistent, high-quality pool care.
“I love being around water and everything that has to do with it,” Lignoski says. “I enjoy leading a team, training to a high-level standard and meeting new clients to cultivate strong business relationships.” He credits National Pool Partners with providing an outstanding culture and opportunities to grow.
What stands out in Lignoski’s career is the steady climb he’s made — working his way up the ranks and developing expertise in nearly everything related to pools, outside of construction. Along the way, he’s faced challenges, from adapting to corporate transitions after a family-owned business was sold, to enduring the grueling Arizona summer heat. Both experiences, he says, taught him resilience, adaptability and the importance of leadership through change.
Lignoski envisions either starting his own pool company as an owner-operator or transitioning into a role in water treatment at the municipal or state level. He’s passionate about raising the bar for training and professionalism in the industry. “We see too many situations that the guy before us just didn’t seem to understand chemistry or valving or properly sizing equipment,” he explains, noting that pool techs should be taken as seriously as electricians or HVAC techs. Lignoski hopes to pass on all the knowledge and experience he’s gained to help the next generation be seen as true professionals.
Lignoski has played drums in his metal band, Emerald Isle, for 17 years, and he’s a certified scuba diver who has been exploring underwater worlds for more than two decades. Currently working toward his Master Certification, he dreams of one day teaching and certifying new divers himself.
