Chris Cavanaugh is a third-generation pool professional. He started helping out in the family business when he was a teenager, installing pools, helping in the store and doing service calls. After college, it didn’t take long for him to return home.
“I came back and took over as general manager for the business in 2006,” Cavanaugh says. “Since I have been in charge we have expanded our service area. We also added an additional [retail] location in Owensboro, Kentucky.”
He hopes to have more retail locations. “Staffing is key,” he says. “It is hard to keep employees with us having a slow season.”
Cavanaugh also serves on the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance’s WAVE Young Professionals Networks steering committee.
