After being raised on the Gulf of Mexico, Jake Sperounes has a lifelong connection to the water and an enjoyment of outdoor activities, so it was natural that he found his way into the pool service industry.

“After moving home from college early, in 2021, I was given an opportunity to join a family member’s service company,” he says. “Within seven months of working in the industry, it became clear that launching my own venture was the next step. With mutual agreement, I transitioned from employment to entrepreneurship.”

Today, Sperounes is the owner of Jake’s Complete Pool Care where he serves 300 clients and counting.

“My company has expanded significantly,” he says. “We won Bradenton’s Best Pool Maintenance company in 2023, beating out 210 other companies in our area. We are on track to initiate start-up service for 600 pools through partnerships with three builders. I anticipate concluding the year with 500 service clients and a team of six skilled technicians.”

One of the most rewarding aspects of Sperounes’ career is finding solutions for daily challenges.

“My passion for pools is matched by my enjoyment in interacting with homeowners, offering solutions and insights that enhance their experience,” he says. “Part of my future plan includes obtaining my CPC license, which will pave the way for venturing into pool construction within the next five to 10 years.”

Going forward, Sperounes’ primary goal is to solidify his company as a leading and innovative force.

“I aim to not only expand our reach geographically but also deepen the connection we establish with each client, ensuring our services maintain a personal touch,” he says. “I am committed to cultivating a workplace that values and empowers its employees. By investing in training programs and creating pathways for advancement, I hope to not only enhance their professional skills but also their personal growth.”
