Fresh website, more videos

PP25-1 welcome - mentoring

We are deep into the process of selecting our 30 Under 40 winners for 2025. But every year when the list comes out, we hear the same complaint — something along the lines of, “You should have something for us old guys!” I agree, but we have not landed on quite the right solution yet. So when someone suggested we do an “Oldies but Goodies” (Page 48) piece highlighting industry legends, I was more than happy to do it. And man, did they have some great tales of yore for us — chlorine gas! Thomas Guides! Payphones!

We only had room to feature four people in this issue, but I’d love to hear who else you’d like to see profiled and honored for their years of hard work in our industry. I’ve definitely got my own list going.

In this issue, we also dive into raising your rates (Page 42) — again. I will keep beating this drum pretty much every year.

Also, I want to make sure you know about the fantastic videos we’ve been producing for our At the Shop articles. Last issue, it was Justin’s Pool Service, and this issue we’re featuring Gold Medal Pools (Page 38) out of Texas. We’re doing something similar with the Sustainability series (Page 36) — and all of these videos are available now at poolpromag.com. They’re really worth a watch.

If you haven’t noticed, we launched the new PoolPro website! As with any website, it’s a work in progress, but I’m glad we’ve finally got this out in the world. Take a look and let us know what you think.

Best,
