Hayward Industries signed a purchase agreement for Paramount Leisure Industries, Inc. (known more readily within the industry as Paramount Pool & Spa Systems), which is set to close in August. Paramount, established in 1964 by George Ghiz, has spent more than 50 years working toward a reputation synonymous with service, quality and innovation. While known best for the manufacturing of in-floor cleaning systems, Paramount also offers alternate sanitizer technology, energy-efficient white goods, lighting and other pool/spa operation products.
Paramount will continue to operate as an autonomous business under the same name, with the same structure, management, sales team and customer service. “We’ve built an exceptional company in large part due to the relationships established with our valued clients and friends over many years,” says Lewis ‘Buzz’ Ghiz, son of George Ghiz and current CEO of Paramount. “Hayward acknowledges this and I believe they will be good stewards of the Paramount brand. We are committed to growing the business with the same passion and culture and by always staying highly focused on being customer centric. We look forward to this relationship and this new phase for Paramount.”
