S.R. Smith acquires assets of Inter-Fab

S.R. Smith, LLC, manufacturer of swimming pool deck equipment, lighting and access products, headquartered in Canby, Oregon, announced the acquisition of certain assets of Inter-Fab, Inc. based in Tucson, Arizona. S.R. Smith will integrate the product portfolios except for Inter-Fab’s deck mounted pool slides, which have not been acquired.

“I determined within the past year that this is a window of opportunity when selling a relatively small, profitable and successful business makes sense,” says Mike Hagerty, president of Inter-Fab. “The capital markets are right for such an opportunity. That, coupled with the fact that I’m approaching retirement age, influenced my decision to sell.”
