LATICRETE Launches HYDRO BAN 1 and MULTIMAX 1

LATICRETE, a manufacturer of construction solutions for the building industry, announced the launch of two products: HYDRO BAN 1, a single-coat, trowel-applied waterproofing and crack isolation solution, and MULTIMAX 1, a premium-grade premixed thinset and large and heavy tile adhesive mortar. HYDRO BAN 1 is designed to deliver the same trusted performance as traditional liquid membranes in a fraction of the time. Its self-gauging application ensures consistent coverage thickness, while a color-changing cure indicator confirms readiness for flood testing just two hours after cure. It can be used in applications ranging from steam showers and spas to exterior balconies and pools.

MULTIMAX 1 is an adhesive mortar that meets the ANSI A118.15 performance standard, previously exclusive to cement-based mortars. It also exceeds ANSI A118.15 HET, A118.4 and A118.11 requirements, offering extended open time, broader substrate compatibility and stronger adhesion. The patent-pending formula offers the versatility and bond strength of a high-performance cementitious mortar in a no-mix, no-water, dust-free format that reduces noise, jobsite clutter and material waste. Ideal for large-format tiles, gauged porcelain tile panels or submerged installations, MULTIMAX 1 provides elevated performance even for specialty applications.
