Natalie Hood Launches Aquatics Consulting Company
Natalie Hood has launched Natalie Hood & Associates LLC, a consulting company focused on education, certification, regulatory affairs and program development for the aquatics and pool and spa industries.
Hood brings more than 25 years of operational and leadership experience to the business. Services include curriculum and assessment development, certification programs, state and regulatory approvals, instructor training, educational events and government affairs support. The company also offers instructional design, industry communications, podcasting and media services.
Hood began her aquatics career as a lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor and swim coach. She later spent eight years with the National Swimming Pool Foundation, working in operations, education, instructor development, events and industry programs.
After NSPF and the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals merged to form the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance in 2019, Hood continued with the organization and ultimately became director of certification and instructor relations. Her work included managing certification programs and relationships with more than 700 instructors across 127 countries, as well as expanding service program approvals into more than 30 jurisdictions.
Most recently, she was director of education and events at The Grit Game, where she built the education department and led instructional design for 12 courses.
