Innovation is the theme for Nidec and its flagship brand, U.S. MOTORS, at this year’s PSP/Deck Expo on Nov. 13-15. The manufacturer is expanding its Neptune line with two new offerings for residential pools — a Hybrid that features two motor technologies and a 3.45 horsepower motor designed for large pools.
The new Neptune Hybrid features a high-efficiency brushless permanent magnet motor integrated with a control and a standard PSC induction motor. The magnet is capable of variable speed levels from 600 to 2,760 RPMs, ideal for circulating the water in residential pools. At 3,450 RPMs, the PSC motor activates, providing the extra power needed for vacuuming the pool.
The Hybrid is a lower-cost, lower-power motor that offers significant energy savings for homeowners. The Hybrid also meets proposed efficiency regulations from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The new Neptune 3.45 horsepower features a variable-speed motor with integrated controls for energy efficiency and easy operation. This powerful motor is designed for large residential pools, and as with the entire Neptune line, will integrate with any new or existing pump.
U.S. MOTORS will also feature the Aqua-Shield Pro at the trade show. Easy to install, with a top-mounted conduit box and simple voltage switch from 115 to 208-230V, this finned aluminum, totally enclosed fan-cooled motor is built with additional layers of protection against moisture, heat and debris.
