Pentair Adds Flexible Demand Tech to Pool Systems
Pentair Pool has introduced Flexible Demand technology to its pool automation equipment, enabling systems to connect with utility providers, optimize energy use and support grid stability.
The FD-enabled IntelliFlo3 VSF Pool Pump and IntelliCenter Pool Control System will now be able to automatically respond to utility grid signals during peak demand hours. Customers can enroll through the Pentair Pool app, which provides real-time energy reporting, wireless connectivity and transparent consent protocols.
“Flexible Demand helps pool owners optimize energy use, save money and support the grid automatically,” says Laura Bednasz, general manager of automation and lights at Pentair Pool. “We’re giving our customers the flexibility to make smarter energy choices and drive a more sustainable future, without compromising performance.”
Pentair plans to expand FD capabilities across its product line nationwide. Customers who opt in may also qualify for cashback rewards from utilities, depending on location.
The company says the program aligns with California’s energy initiatives while offering consumers greater control over their energy consumption.
