Pentair Expands Pool University Program with Hands-on, Bilingual Training

Pentair Pool is expanding its professional education initiative, Pentair Pool University, with a renewed focus on hands-on instruction, bilingual learning and flexible training options for 2025-26.
The updated program emphasizes interactive, real-world learning environments rather than traditional classroom lectures. Participants will train using fully functioning automation boards and live pool equipment setups, allowing them to practice troubleshooting, installation and maintenance tasks in realistic conditions.
“Pentair Pool University is more than just training,” says Rick Sidlo, training and education leader at Pentair Pool. “It’s a chance to connect, learn and grow with the best in the business.”
The sessions will cover a range of foundational and advanced topics, including electricity, hydraulics, automation systems and digital troubleshooting tools.
The company has added two Spanish-speaking trainers and a dedicated content developer to create Spanish-language courses and materials.
In addition to live instruction, professionals will have access to self-paced online learning through the Pentair Partners platform, allowing users to complete or revisit training modules. A new digital education hub will centralize training materials and event information.
Pentair Pool University will hold sessions throughout 2025 and 2026, beginning with regional events and continuing at major industry trade shows. The first sessions are scheduled for January, including appearances at the Mid-America and Atlantic City shows, with additional events planned through the spring.
Each course is open to pool and spa professionals of all experience levels. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
