Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Begins Revision of APSP-11 Standard for Water Quality

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance announced the upcoming review and revision of ANSI/APSP/ICC-11 2019 American National Standard for Water Quality in Public Pools and Spas and is calling for change request submissions.

The revised PHTA-11 standard will provide recommended minimum guidelines for the specifications for water quality parameters in the public swimming pool and spa industry. It will cover a range of values relating to chemicals for pool and spa operation and for purposes of public health and safety.

Proposals will be accepted continuously and must be submitted through the PHTA Change Request Form.

Committee members represent a broad, balanced cross-section of subject matter experts in the industry and community. The following people serve as members:

Following approval, a draft version of the revised standard will be submitted to PHTA’s ANSI consensus voting body, the Standards Consensus Committee, for their review and approval. The standard will also be open to public comment as part of the ANSI process.
