Step Into Swim, an initiative of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance dedicated to creating more swimmers through safe swim education, announced it received a $100,000 donation from Heritage Pool Supply Group and its Heritage Cares Foundation. Heritage Cares hosted a charity concert at the 2026 Pool & Spa Show, with Step Into Swim among the four organizations supported.

“At Heritage, we take immense pride in our team’s unwavering commitment to giving back and supporting the Step Into Swim mission,” says Scott Frost, president of Heritage Pool Supply Group. “This initiative is very close to our hearts as it aims to create more swimmers and teach children in underserved communities across the country to swim.”

For the past five years, Heritage Cares has selected Step Into Swim as one of the causes for its annual charity concert series, helping to raise even more awareness within the pool and hot tub industry about the importance of water safety and drowning prevention.

“Since 2021, Heritage Pool Supply Group’s donations to Step Into Swim have provided nearly 20,000 children access to lifesaving learn-to-swim programs,” says three-time Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines, PHTA vice president of partnerships and development, who leads the Step Into Swim initiative. “Matt McDermott, Scott Frost and the entire Heritage team are true champions of water safety. Step Into Swim is so grateful for their continued support and generosity.”

Step Into has gifted more than 500,000 swim lessons since 2012 and is funded through partner contributions, which are integral for advancing the mission. Every dollar donated goes directly to learn-to-swim programming.
