Claffey Represents Pentair During PHTA Day on the Hill

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance hosted its third annual Day on the Hill this spring, bringing together pool and spa professionals from across the country to advocate for the industry on Capitol Hill.
Greg Claffey, president and chief revenue officer of Pentair Pool, was among the industry leaders who met with members of Congress to discuss legislative priorities. PHTA members connected with over 70 congressional offices, focusing on water safety and support for the Safe Water Instruction for Minors Act. The bill would allow families to use Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts to cover the cost of swim lessons.
Claffey called the event “perfectly timed,” aligning with National Water Safety Month in May. Pentair continues to support community safety efforts through both advocacy and philanthropy. In 2024, the company and its foundation donated $350,000 to swim safety organizations. It is the official swimming sponsor of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games and a Diamond Level Sponsor of the Step Into Swim initiative. Partner organization V3 Sports has provided more than 2,250 hours of swim lessons in the first six months at its new facility in Minneapolis.
