The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance announced the launch of ProAdvantage by PHTA. Developed in partnership with HUB International, ProAdvantage provides PHTA members — ranging from large-scale enterprises to small businesses — access to high-quality benefits and Property & Casualty insurance solutions.

ProAdvantage was designed to address a critical need in the industry: providing viable, affordable health care for the employees of builders, service companies and retail establishments, regardless of their size. By leveraging the collective strength of the association, HUB International, BBSI and carrier partners, including Aetna and The Hartford, members can offer their employees competitive benefits packages that were previously too difficult and costly for smaller firms to secure.

“Our members are the backbone of the aquatics industry, and their greatest asset is their people,” says Sabeena Hickman, president and CEO of PHTA. “This program is a game changer.”

The full suite of services includes:

  • Access to corporate benefits for businesses of any size
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accident and critical illness coverage available in all 50 states
  • Assistance with payroll, job costing, paid time off tracking and Occupational Health and Safety Administration regulations
  • Compliance support inclusive of hiring and termination, employee handbooks and performance management
  • Coverage provided by carrier partners such as Aetna, Kaiser and Blue Cross Blue Shield

In addition to health care, PHTA has partnered through HUB International with The Hartford to deliver a custom-designed P&C package. This program covers core lines such as commercial general, product and contractual liability, umbrella coverage, workers’ compensation and commercial auto. Notably, it includes industry-specific endorsements such as:

  • Pool pop-up coverage for fiberglass and vinyl liners.
  • Installation floaters to protect equipment before it is installed.
  • VGB Act Inspection E&O, diving board/slide coverage and contractor’s limited pollution coverage

The program includes dedicated underwriters, risk management support to help reduce workplace injuries and 24/7 online claims reporting.

PHTA members can learn more about these exclusive benefits and begin the quote process by visiting phta.org/ProAdvantage or by contacting Jeff Henriksen, PHTA vice president of industry affairs and research, at jhenriksen@phta.org or 703-838-0083, ext. 148.
