Step Into Swim, an initiative of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance dedicated to creating more swimmers through safe swim education, announced its continued partnership with Solenis, a leading global provider of water treatment solutions for residential and commercial pools and spas. Solenis presented a $25,000 donation to Step Into Swim during PHTA’s annual Day on the Hill advocacy event in Washington, D.C., on April 29.

“Solenis is proud to support Step Into Swim and its mission to create more swimmers and safer communities,” says David Gayeski, associate director pro dealer of Solenis Pool Solutions. “Drowning prevention remains a critical, lifesaving priority — especially for children. Through this partnership, Solenis is contributing to an important cause while reinforcing our commitment to advancing water safety and access to swim education.”

This is the second year in a row that Solenis, a PHTA Strategic Partner, has supported Step Into Swim through a Gold Level sponsorship.“Receiving this generous donation from Solenis and having their representatives join PHTA and Step Into Swim on Capitol Hill as we advocate for lifesaving water safety legislation is incredibly meaningful,” says three-time Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines, PHTA vice president of partnerships and development, who leads the Step Into Swim initiative. “As we approach the summer swim season, awareness of this preventable epidemic is key. We are so grateful to Solenis for their continued support this year.”

In 2025, Step Into Swim raised over $1.5 million, which funded learn-to-swim programs in 43 U.S. states, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Grand Cayman and Canada and provided swim lessons to nearly 20,000 children. The initiative has gifted more than 500,000 swim lessons since 2012. Step Into Swim is funded through partner contributions, which are integral for advancing its life-saving mission. Every dollar donated goes directly to learn-to-swim programming. To learn more, visit stepintoswim.com
