GeoBubble Expands Gen2 Pool Cover Range With EnergyGuard

GeoBubble

Plastipack Ltd. has launched EnergyGuard Gen2, the latest addition to its GeoBubble Gen2 line of graphene-enhanced pool cover materials.

EnergyGuard Gen2 combines GeoBubble’s Selective Transmission technology with its Gen2 material. According to the company, the cover can increase pool water temperatures by up to 7 degrees Celsius, reduce heat pump energy consumption by up to 60%, prevent more than 98% of evaporation and reduce chemical consumption by up to 60%. The material is also designed to inhibit algae growth naturally.

Plastipack says incorporating graphene allows the product to use 20% less polymer while providing a 51% increase in puncture resistance and 24% improvement in tear resistance compared with the previous material. The company expects the cover to maintain an eight-year lifespan.

“EnergyGuard has always been one of our most innovative products, combining solar heating with our patented Selective Transmission technology to naturally inhibit algae growth,” says Sarah Duggan, marketing manager. “With EnergyGuard Gen2, we’ve retained all of those proven performance benefits while introducing the advantages of our graphene-enhanced Gen2 material.”

The company has also released marketing resources, including technical specifications, case studies, product photography and brochures, for manufacturers and distributors.

EnergyGuard Gen2 is available to order now. GeoBubble plans to showcase its complete Gen2 range, including Sol+Guard Gen2, EnergyGuard Gen2, RaeGuard Gen2 and CoolGuard Gen2, at Piscine Global Lyon in November.
