The second biennial Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code conference will be held Oct. 17-18 in Denver, Colorado. You can attend in person or online. At the conference, CMAHC members will be voting on 179 proposed changes to the Model Aquatic Health Code.
The CMAHC Technical Review Committee has reviewed all 179 proposed changes to the MAHC, which can be reviewed on the CMAHC website. The conference will include presentation of key MAHC change requests, the technical review and summaries of member comments as well as time for caucusing on the change requests and floor discussion. Topics include acoustic design, chlorinator sizing, float tanks, design of benches/ledges, wing walls/shelves, lifeguarding and supervision, and filtration/disinfection issues.
The conference will be live-streamed, so professionals from across the industry can attend and vote.
The CMAHC will continue to accept comments to influence the vote through Nov. 3. Electronic voting opens with the conference and will close at midnight EST on Nov. 19.
