Prestigious award won by Gruppo Pedrollo

On June 30, electric water pump manufacturer Gruppo Pedrollo was named winner of the 2022 Leonardo Da Vinci Award.

The annual award, which was presented at a ceremony to the San Bonifacio, Italy–based company’s managing director, Giulio Pedrollo, by Luigi Brugnaro, mayor of Venice, Italy, recognizes achievements at enhancing the ability of family enterprises to transmit their heritage and their values to future generations. The award is named in honor of the celebrated Italian Renaissance–era artist and inventor.

“This day has a particularly deep meaning for me and my family,” says Giullo Pedrollo. “The Leonardo da Vinci Award is, in fact, the first international recognition assigned to Gruppo Pedrollo.”

The company, which had originally gone by the name of Pedrollo SpA, has seen notable growth in recent years, including the addition of several subsidiary companies, including Linz Electric, Gread Elettronica, Panelli and, as of 2020, Superior Pump.

Giullo Pedrollo considers the award an affirmation of the company’s strategy of internal growth and external add-ons. “We are living an important page in our history that gratifies the willfulness of family-run companies in the desire to transmit their heritage and their values to future generations,” Pedrollo says.

Gruppo Pedrollo is focused on expanding its presence in the North American market.
