When Alexandra Bridgewater joined Hayward in 2021, she brought her hospitality background and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Starting on the Hayward Rewards team as a channel marketing coordinator, she proved herself as someone eager to listen to pool professionals and implement meaningful changes. She advanced to product marketing specialist and now serves as senior product marketing specialist, where she plays a key role in bringing new products and technologies to the market.
One of the highlights for Bridgewater is collaborating with the professionals who install and service Hayward’s equipment daily. “I want to make sure that pool equipment is created with features that are important to pool professionals and can make their jobs a little easier,” Bridgewater says.
One of Bridgewater’s biggest projects was Hayward’s Partner Summit. After seeing how many hats pool professionals wear — builder, servicer, accountant, marketer — she envisioned a conference to support them on all fronts. She coordinated the inaugural event with education, networking and growth tools, and the positive response made it an annual tradition. “These types of experiences benefit not only pool professionals but the whole industry,” she says.
Early on, she also modernized Hayward’s co-branding co-op program. Previously dependent on mailed submissions that often went missing, the process frustrated dealers. Bridgewater shifted approvals to email and built an online library of product images, logos and ad templates. Dealers could now receive approval within 24 hours and access resources instantly. For her, it was a lesson in how listening to customer feedback sparks substantive improvement.
Bridgewater hopes to elevate the industry by pushing for greater adoption of digital technology. She envisions more advanced training, streamlined processes and smarter pool systems for both professionals and homeowners. “A major responsibility of driving innovation is also making sure that professionals receive the support they need so their businesses can grow,” she says.
Bridgewater is an avid traveler. From day trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains to international adventures like visiting Iceland’s glaciers, she loves exploring new places. And now, she can’t help but peek at the equipment pad anytime she sees a pool or spa on her travels.
