A wave of low-cost pool service software solutions has hit the market. Some are legitimate. Others are built fast, priced aggressively and held together by AI-generated code that no human fully understands. The risk sits entirely with the buyer.
I have rarely met a service tech who considered themself in “sales,” and I understand why; in their world, salespeople usually create problems, and techs fix them. Sales and service are different skills, but thinking of them as completely separate is a mistake and a missed opportunity for both the technician and your pool company.
The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance released its Quarterly Pulse Survey Report for the third quarter of 2024. The survey shows pool construction revenue remaining strong, with 54% of respondents reporting increased revenue, 17% reporting the same levels and 31% reporting a decrease during the past quarter.
