H2Flow Controls’ LevelSmart Wireless Autofill System
In July 2023, H2Flow Controls launched the LevelSmart wireless autofill system, and since then, it’s been tough to keep it in stock.
“We have been selling the product for two months and have already sold out of our initial supply,” says Chris Freeman, lead technical support phone representative for PoolZoom, an H2Flow Controls authorized partner.
LevelSmart helps homeowners, property managers, builders and maintenance companies avoid the headaches from maintaining water levels in pools, spas, ponds, water features, tanks and similar vessels. It replaces the chore of manually filling a pool and eliminates the risk of overfilling.
The system works 24/7 to automatically maintain the desired water level in any body of water, keeping it full and ready to use. This fills the gaps for pools prone to excessive evaporation, bather splash-out or water loss due to regular backwashing.
One of the features Freeman likes to highlight is the ease of installation and maintenance of the system, calling it a set-it-and-forget-it piece of equipment.

“This product is very easy to install for either a pool professional or their customer,” he says. “It is manufactured of high-quality components; it can be installed during new construction or as a retrofit to an older pool.”
Sean McDermott, vice president of sales for H2Flow Controls, adds, “Because the sensor is wireless, the system can be installed without demolition of the pool deck or walls.”
LevelSmart was invented approximately 12 years ago and has undergone continuous development and improvement since its inception and since H2Flow began licensing the product in July 2023. McDermott says these improvements include moving from a hardwired antenna to a wire with connectors, which allows variable-length antenna cables and simplifies antenna placement. Improvements were also made to the chip, circuit and battery to increase the wireless communication range and signal reliability.
The sensor measures only 2.8”x 2.8”x 1” and can be mounted out of sight, like in the mouth of a skimmer.
Every 30 minutes, the sensor and valve controller communicate to ensure water levels don’t drop too low. The patented wireless sensor also gets up to 1,000 feet of range, a feature that is exclusive to LevelSmart, McDermott says.
“It solves the problem of wired sensors that must be installed when the vessel is constructed,” he says. “This means that any vessel, new or existing, can easily enjoy the benefits of an autofill system with LevelSmart.”
The water level and usage can be tracked through LevelSmart Online, available separately, which provides push notifications for potential leaks or excessive water consumption. Customers who upgrade to LevelSmart Online get remote monitoring from the online dashboard and LevelSmart mobile app, which offers features like water level, temperature, autofill information and push notifications and alerts.
“The opportunity here is about more than providing a product of convenience,” McDermott says. “LevelSmart will help customers reduce their water and energy consumption; it’ll stop them from burning out their expensive pool pump, and it will increase safety around the pool.”
