Cody King is a third-generation pool industry member. His grandfather, Doug Wilson, started Wilson Pools in Cartersville, Georgia, which his family still owns and operates. King did both construction and pool service for the family business growing up, and while he attended Ole Miss, he ran a pool retail store. After graduation, he went back to the family business and started its first retail store.
In 2012, King joined PoolCorp’s manager-in-training (MIT) program at the company’s headquarters in Covington, Louisiana, and then worked as a business development representative at its SCP location in Raleigh, North Carolina. He worked for an independent distributor in Jackson, Mississippi, before landing at Zodiac in 2016.
“I see myself as a steward of this trade, bound by duty to preserve and expand it for future generations,” King says. “We have enormous opportunity as an industry to support our dealers/customers, and I look forward to dedicating my professional career to that cause.”
