Oliver Penn enjoys coaching and advising the next generation of pool builders.
“It’s really a great industry,” he says. “I try to create more engagement and awareness with high school and college students that our industry is the one to be in.”
Penn started in 2020 after completing a second degree in construction management.
“Upon starting with Alchemy, I created the construction department alongside owner Alex Tyler,” he says. “Since then, we have built the company into a bustling business, supporting tradesmen, tradeswomen and their families all across Oklahoma. At Alchemy, we believe there is no good design without good construction.”
As Penn thrives, he aims to develop the Alchemy brand as a leader in the industry and push all facets of the business to create new technologies to help builders and homeowners.
“Alchemy is the process of turning heavy metals into gold,” Penn says. “That’s something I strive to do every day and what I enjoy most about the industry. Sometimes it’s a small modular pool and sometimes it’s an extremely complex pool with multiple features. No matter what, I take that same philosophy to everything I do — make it as good as possible.”
