Jim Eisch’s path into the pool industry started early.
“Growing up on Florida’s west coast, learning to swim came before talking, so I was fortunate to be exposed to the industry early on,” he says. “However, I started my career in finance after earning an accounting degree from the University of Florida and became a CPA. I wanted to build a strong foundation in finance and accounting before homing in on a specific industry.”
Eisch started out at KPMG before joining POOLCORP as senior director of business solutions, following the company’s acquisition of Pinch A Penny Pool. His role focuses on launching industry-specific B2B solutions aimed at creating a comprehensive customer-facing digital ecosystem. With his background in finance and business solutions, Eisch has driven innovative strategies that enhance customer experience and contribute to POOLCORP’s growth.
Eisch has always had a passion for improvement, constantly seeking opportunities to expand his knowledge. This mindset has driven his career forward, allowing him to thrive in an ever-evolving industry.
“The niche blend of challenges and opportunities related to technology adoption and customer engagement is particularly compelling,” he says.
He finds satisfaction in building and deploying software solutions that help customers grow their businesses and says there’s nothing more exciting than seeing ideas come to life in the field, where they make a real impact on how companies operate.
“As an industry, we need to catch up to our peers in this [technology] space and that is where my energy is focused because it has the potential to elevate our trade as a whole and enable customers to enjoy success at entirely new levels,” he says. “My goal is to make significant strides in leveraging technology to improve customer experiences, streamline operations and drive growth.”
Eisch sees unique growth potential in the pool industry.
“Customers [pools] are added daily and don’t leave,” he says. “No one wants to fill in a pool; it’s usually a dream to achieve, and being part of a leading company like POOLCORP offers endless opportunities to contribute to that growth.”
Beyond driving technology adoption in the industry, Eisch also champions sustainable practices, promoting energy-efficient products and eco-friendly operations. Fostering strong relationships is another priority.
“As I move into the next phase of my career, building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, suppliers and customers is crucial,” he says. “I aim to enhance those partnerships to foster collaboration, share knowledge and drive mutual success.”
