Despite being early in her career, Rachel Lombardi has already traveled across the country selling authorized dealer programs at pool industry events.
“I have met some of the coolest leaders in the industry,” she says. “Hearing from those who have been doing this for a while is so empowering.”
In 2021, Lombardi began as an intern for Easton Pool & Spa in Massachusetts.
“When I came on as a marketing intern, I was immediately immersed in the world of this new concept — the plunge pool,” she says. “At the time, Easton Pool & Spa was realizing the potential of this precast pool, and I got to help spearhead the transition from Plunge Pools by Easton to its own entity, Plunge Pool Concepts.”
As Lombardi settled into her role, she helped shape the brand’s future.
“Getting to strategize the trajectory of this new concept and watch it come to fruition over the last three years has been an experience like no other,” she says. “From naming product lines to creating logos and taglines to strategic marketing planning and execution, I have gotten a front-row seat to the rapid growth of the emerging plunge pool category.”
Now as a full-time dealer support coordinator for Plunge Pool Concepts, Lombardi shares her passion with the world and oversees the expansion of the dealer network down the Eastern Seaboard and across the country.
“I work to facilitate and be a direct point of contact for all commercial activities between our company and our dealer network, as well as assist in strategic marketing efforts in both business-to-business and direct-to-consumer applications,” she says.
Lombardi hopes to attend more events and meet more people.
“I am someone who loves learning from others, and these interactions are so valuable to me,” she says. “One of my favorite events so far was a women’s empowerment workshop hosted by Jamie Novak [of BioLab] at the Baystate Pool Products Opportunity Day in Connecticut. Seeing all these women come together to support one another and provide advice and tips based on their experience in the industry was an experience like no other.”
