“The pool industry is surprisingly lucrative and complex,” says Brian Fernandes, business development manager at Poolwerx. Fernandes oversees multiple Poolwerx franchise partners, helping to enforce best practices and coach business growth via technical excellence, customer service, local area marketing, profit-and-loss management and organizational strategy.
Fernandes began working in the pool industry as a retail associate at Dallas-metro based Crown Pools in high school. After graduating from college, he returned to the industry and managed Dolphin Pool Supply locations, also in the Dallas metro. In 2017, Dolphin was acquired by Poolwerx, and Fernandes stayed with the company.
“I see a lot of potential in this industry, and I’ve been fortunate to make my own stamp in the business,” he says, adding that he is now helping others reach their pool career potential. “Because I believe in the Poolwerx brand, I hope to contribute to its growing market share and help struggling pool businesses.”
