In 2013, a chance opportunity arose when Josh Speyrer’s wife, who was then two months pregnant, was approached by a colleague about a promising Manager in Training Program at POOLCORP. Although she wasn’t interested, her referral led Speyrer to start the program at SCP in Mandeville, Louisiana, transitioning from a career in poultry to one in pools.
Speyrer’s early career saw him thrive as a business development representative in Jackson, Mississippi, before moving back to Mandeville to cover that market. After five years, he expanded his role to a regional sales position with SCP, overseeing both Mandeville and Jackson.
“Though I enjoyed working on the distribution side, I knew it was time to take on more,” he says. So he accepted the role of southeast regional sales manager for AquaStar Pool Products.
At AquaStar, Speyrer is driven by his passion for building relationships and helping his clients succeed.
“I love meeting people and creating relationships,” he says. “It has been rewarding to see the growth my customers have experienced and to know I have played a vital role in bringing their projects to life. I pride myself on creating connections among my customers and other industry professionals to help get the job done.”
His approach goes beyond merely supplying products; he focuses on understanding and supporting the broader goals of his clients, ensuring their projects are successful from start to finish.
