Maria Fernanda Lopez Martinez’s professional path has been anything but ordinary. Her career began in gastronomy, where she spent eight years honing her skills in various restaurants, focusing on customer service and operations. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a career pivot into administration, where she applied her organizational talents in a fresh context.
This diverse background laid the groundwork for her next move. Lopez joined CCEI, a multinational leader in pool product manufacturing, as head of CCEI Mexico. Her role involves overseeing the commercial aspects and expanding the company’s footprint in the Mexican market.
Her career transition has been both exciting and fulfilling. She leverages her broad skill set to build operations from the ground up and forge strategic partnerships within the industry.
One of Lopez’s favorite aspects of working in the pool industry is its dynamic nature and the chance to innovate. “It gives me great satisfaction to contribute to the development and introduction of cutting-edge pool products that not only meet market demands but exceed them,” she says.
The pool industry offers a wealth of opportunities for innovation and growth, particularly in product design and customer experience. Lopez finds it gratifying to be part of a field that enhances people’s lifestyles while also pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Lopez’s long-term vision for her career at CCEI involves driving substantial growth and innovation.
“My goal is to expand our global market presence through sustainable technology solutions and strategic partnerships, improving customer satisfaction and setting new industry standards,” she says.
In her view, one key area for change in the pool industry is the acceleration of sustainable practices.
“There is a great opportunity to innovate in areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation and environmentally friendly materials,” she says. “By promoting these practices, we can reduce environmental impact and meet the changing expectations of conscientious consumers.”
