Swimming pools may not be perceived as a tech-driven industry, but Colby Stratman is hoping to help change that.
He says he chose to work with pHin because it is bringing smart home technology to the backyard with its wireless monitor. “With new technologies helping to drive innovation in the pool industry,” Stratman says, “we will see faster growth, new ideas and more young people coming to work in an industry that typically isn’t seen as very glamorous.”
Stratman began his career in the pool industry cleaning and servicing residential pools for a small company in Richmond, Texas. He moved on to Poolsure, which provides minibulk chemical deliveries to commercial facilities along with other services.
“My next career goal in the industry is to move into a vice president of sales–type role,” he says, “where I can build and manage a large sales team and share what I have learned in my sales career with others.”
